Worried about holiday excesses?

My dears, we know that Christmas is synonymous with celebration, meals with family and friends, sweets... and all of this can lead to excess if we're not careful.

That's why planning is vital, as eating healthily during this time is also possible. Today we'll give you some tips that will be very helpful, and most importantly, without giving up those iconic dishes for these special dates.

One of the most common dishes in almost all countries is turkey, which, besides being one of the healthiest meats, when prepared dry, without fat or added sweets, is perfect for following a healthy eating plan.

For Christmas turkey, avoid stuffing it with candies, overly seasoned meats, or bacon. Baking it is an excellent option, but be careful with the skin! That's where most of the fat is concentrated.

Another very healthy meat, although with a bad reputation, is pork. When it's lean, meaning without fat, it's a fantastic source of animal protein. When cooked in the oven or grilled, with all the fat removed, it will be an excellent healthy dish without sacrificing the enjoyment of the traditional Christmas pork.

Always choose to incorporate fresh salads as an option to balance the excess fat from other choices. Opt for raw salads, lightly dressed, without mayonnaise or creams. Those that combine green leaves with sweet fruits are ideal, as they add an exotic touch to your Christmas dinner.

Another option we recommend is to substitute traditional white rice with brown rice, as it will still provide the necessary carbohydrates for a balanced dinner. Remember to avoid processed oils and condiments in its preparation.

If we put our advice into practice, we can enjoy ourselves without guilt.
